Chief and Council seek advice from the community, including youth and elders, on if and where community members would like to see a welcome figure installed in our territory.
The welcome figure project was introduced by the late Linda Bristol through the T'Sou-ke Arts Group (TAG), and was carried on by TAG after her passing. The project was led by master carver Carey Newman, and two T'Sou-ke youth were selected to be mentored through the project. After a long journey that originally started pre-COVID, the welcome figure is now complete and ready for a home.
T'Sou-ke members are invited to attend a discussion on Tuesday, May 6, at 6:00pm at the Band Hall to share their thoughts on if and where the Nation should install this welcome figure.
